Susan Zody - Founder/Director
Susan Zody is a wife, mother of 2, and grandmother of 4. Her career began in pharmaceutical sales and medical marketing. Most recently she has mentored under resourced children as a result of volunteering with local non-profit organizations. Her passion is teaching these children about the hope that is in Jesus and encouraging them to fulfill their purpose in life.

Emily Pier - Managing Director, Facilitator, and Wordsmith
Emily is happy to advocate for children any way she can. She has been working with at-risk youth for almost 15 years. She is a homeschooling mom, an ESL tutor, an amazing muffin baker, and a mediocre piano player. She also has a heart to encourage adoptive families. She is interested in all things missions – here and abroad. She just wants to make Jesus well known throughout the world! Слава Богу!
Dick (Bub) Foster - Vice President
Dick Foster is a superintendent at Haynes International, father of three, and grandfather of seven. He is also an active church member at Crossroads Community Church and oversees the maintenance and grounds work at Narrow Gate Horse Ranch. He is a “behind the scenes” kind of guy who has spent many hours improving the property, making sure equipment runs properly, and helping at special events. The ranch would suffer without his wisdom and expertise.
Kim Crow - Treasurer
Kim Crow is a graduate of Purdue University and currently works at First Farmers Bank and Trust. She has served 15 years as a missionary to different countries over the years: South Africa, Papua New Guinea, and Jamaica. She is a licensed and ordained minister. Kim says, “I knew Narrow Gate was worth my time because Jesus loves children, and He invested His time with them.”
Angie Mast - Secretary
Angie Mast is a happy wife to Wayne and a proud momma to their two Purdue grads, Joe and Rachel. Go Boilermakers! Angie is a licensed teacher. Instead of full time teaching, Angie loves to sub at Northwestern. She also is a math tutor. Angie is a member of Kokomo Zion Church where she chairs the scholarship committee and helps with tech support on Sunday mornings. She loves to work in her yard and enjoys time with friends and family. Her contagious energy to serve both Christ and kids is such a blessing at Narrow Gate Horse Ranch!!

DEAN LEICHT, MANAGING DIRECTOR AND FACILITATOR
Dean serves as Associate Pastor at Kingdom Life Christian Ministries church in Kokomo, serves on the board for the Howard County chapter of Moms for Liberty, and is an active member of the Russiaville Lions Club. Having just retired at the end of June 2023, he enjoys spending time at the ranch doing whatever is needed and is a class facilitator in our EAL program.
Heather Lawson BS, MA - Program Director, Facilitator, and Equine Specialist
Heather is a wife and a mom. She loves Jesus, kids, horses and working at Narrow Gate Horse Ranch! She has been doing Equine Assisted Learning since 2003. She has a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and was in private practice for a few years. Then she got certified to do Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and started taking kids out to the barn with the horses. She couldn't believe what transpired to bring growth and healing in ways that could never have been achieved in the office. In 2005, she left private practice and has been doing Equine Ministry ever since. She has seen hundreds of kids throughout the years come and find safety, unconditional love, acceptance, and empowerment through the horses. She says, “I’ve seen many of them start to feel God's love for the first time as He teaches them amazing truths through the connection with the horse. I look forward to seeing God touch many more young lives through the years at Narrow Gate.”
Jenny Sewell - Admissions Coordinator and Equine Specialist
Jenny is a wife and mother of 3. She’s happily the grandma to 4 grandchildren. Jenny is a lifelong member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Jenny is blessed and thankful for the gift of loving, supportive, Christian parents and family. She wants those who come to the ranch to know they are cared for and to experience the love of Jesus here.
Tara Eytcheson - Board Member
Tara Eytcheson, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker. She is the owner of The Counseling and Wellness House in Kokomo where she is a psychotherapist. She has experience in individual, family, couples, and group therapy with a specialization in the focus of helping clients achieve overall (body, mind, and spiritual) wellness.
Doris Wolf - Board Member
Doris Wolf is a wife, mother of 2 boys, and Memaw of 5 grandchildren. She has been a social worker for over 15 years. She is a member of Christian Life Fellowship and a lover of life, the Lord, family, and friends.
Jenny Hancock – BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR AND FACILITATOR
Jenny is a wife and mom to 4 grown children. Her passion is using animals to teach kids about Jesus and God’s immense love for them. She has a Master’s Degree in Ministry with a concentration in children, youth, and families from Wesley Seminary. Her farm is within walking distance to Narrow Gate and is home to horses (of all sizes), donkeys, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, peafowl, dogs, and one very spoiled cat. She loves using all of these animals to teach kids about Jesus and loves sharing them with Narrow Gate. She also uses her trained and therapy-certified miniature horses to visit senior care and special needs facilities. She says, “I love seeing kids transform through the work with the horse and the Holy Spirit. So many of the kids we see at Narrow Gate just need someone to trust in them and the horses will never lie to them.”
Kaitlyn Kennedy
